Protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Toronto.
Mark 62 years of Nakba. Stand with Palestine.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will kick off the annual Walk with Israel on Sunday, May 30 at the Canadian National Exhibition where he will appear in person to deliver a speech. A coalition of community, human rights, and peace and justice organizations will host a rally to protest Netanyahu’s attempts to whitewash Israel’s human rights violations against the Palestinian people.
As we mark 62 years of Nakba – the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948 when more than 750,000 indigenous Palestinians were expelled from their land and 500 Palestinian villages were destroyed – we will protest the ongoing Nakba that war criminal Netanyahu is overseeing: the continuing colonization of Palestine, Israel’s illegal military occupation, settlement expansion on Palestinian land, the Apartheid Wall, and the brutal siege of Gaza.
Unfortunately, the highest representative of a state that continues to implement apartheid policies is being welcomed in Canada by Stephen Harper. Our rally will send a clear message to the Conservative government: end your uncritical support for Israel’s war crimes and human rights violations.
Mark the date, spread the word, and join us to protest the Prime Minister of Apartheid Israel.
