On July 7, 2010, at “The Spy Museum,” in Washington, D.C., the IRmep sponsored a panel discussion. It was titled: “Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal: Espionage, Opacity and Future.”
Professor John J. Mearsheimer on Israel’s Nukes, Espionage and its Impact on the U.S.
Professor John J. Mearsheimer, the co-author of “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Professor Mearsheimer said: “There is no accountability for Israel on any issue!” He referenced Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty, the killing of peace and justice activist Rachel Corrie, and Israel’s recent assault on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
Grant F. Smith: JFK Tried to Stop Israel from Developing Nukes!
IRmep’s Director, Grant F. Smith. He is the author of the books, “Spy Trade,” “America’s Defense Line” and “Foreign Agents.” Smith underscored in his remarks that President John F. Kennedy tried to stop Israel from developing nuclear weapons. And, that his brother, Robert F. Kennedy, the then-U. S. Attorney General, had “ordered” a then-leading Israeli front group in this country “to register as a foreign agent.”
Jeffrey Blankfort: “I was an ‘Espionage Target’ of the ADL!”
Human Rights activist Jeffrey Blankfort, a Middle East analyst and radio show host, served as the moderator of the event. He claimed that he was a “espionage target” of a branch of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) located in California back in the early 90s. Mr. Blankfort said he was successful in his lawsuit with respect to this purported violation of his rights. See: counterpunch.org/adlspying2.html and impactvoters.com/html/adl_spying.html
Mr. Blankfort also bought the audience up to date on the satus of Mordechai Vanunu. He also charged that the House Speaker, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), regularly carries with her the “dog tags” of an Israeli soldier “captured by Hamas.”
